People just want to see peak numbers.. so its hard to quantify the additional power across the powerband.. Just looking at the dyno chart is very clear as to what the turbo is capable of.. THen again, people are having trouble grasping that you can calculate the RPM from the gear ratio and speed on that graph.. I'm assuming its a third gear pull by the speeds anyway..

I like the WR but from what I've seen unless you plan on using race gas or alky with an AEM you're out of luck. Yes, I agree that it makes more power then stocker and it better be. The question is it worth $1550 and this to each their own.

I don't have an AEM and don't plan on buying one. I don't see spending $1550 in my case.
Read above. Nice graph, nice turbo, End of story.

this turbo isn't about power... it's about response, boost up, holding boost to redline and making very quick laptimes and by laptimes i mean laps ARound a track... not down the track.
Definitely, though it should still be an admirable performer in the quarter with a good driver too.. But it is what it is..

see... short of buying a $5000 rally car turbo setup from ihi or buyin' a $3500 uk rally mitsu turbo setup from evo400 i can't really see ANYTHING comparing to this turbo for the type of racing that requires the big nuts.

and yah know... those rally cars... they don't do too poorly with their billions of shifts down the quarter either.

i'm curious and wanna go off topic for just one post...

malibujack, i'm wondering if you're still gonna put money down on this thing. i'm waiting for the evo9 turbo, i hear it has new light weight wheels on the comp side and some type of alloy ti/al exhaust wheel. with that bigger diffuser and all the testing that mitsu has budget for... what do you think?

Did you see the guy in the turbotrix forum that made 402hp/437ft/lb stock turbo?

Runs 28psi pump with meth

I'm actually going to pick up the BR20G.. With all the testing I'm doing I'll also try to test the WR, I'll probably end up with all the variants anyway.. So i'll at least have a good opinion on which ones work.

I was also attempting to get an Evo IX turbo from Japan or Taiwan, but I'm waiting for someone to contact me on it. I don't see it actually being a huge difference with the bigger diffuser until someone starts playing with it to see how much meat it really has.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that run was in 15 degree cooler temps and the power falls off in the upper rpms. The WR has almost 40 whp on it near redline.

That is interesting. It was 15 degress cooler on the tt graph, and they stopped it at 7400 rpms. What type of dyno do they use?

I don't have time to go back and forth with all this internet crapola. You made an assessment of those kits. Not everyone has that same opinion. And I think your opinion is a little silly myself, but oh well...

Agree and this is where it comes back to my earlier post. $1550 WR + $$$ AEM + tuning = is it worth it to you. If so if not . Just a matter of decison and preference. No harm no foul
