Creader: Good or bad? (p0300 studdering issue)
Creader: Good or bad? (p0300 studdering issue)
Someone advise me to plug in a creader to eliminates the studdering issue of a p0300 error dilema.
my question is, is it a good idea or not? what negative effect will it bring upon the car once I leave this "creader" plugged in at all time?
Please advise, I'm running out of idea on fixing this studdering p0300 error dillema!
Thanks all.

I'd rather not leave it in since other codes "might" pop up and you won't be aware of them since its plugged in all the time. I just put my Creader in my armrest storage compartment and use it when i get a CEL.
From my understanding is it doesn't interrupt the CELs from being reported, what it does interrupt is the check cycle that the ECU makes to look for random missfires. So for instance, if you had a major sensor malfunction that resulted in that sensor no longer reporting to the ECU, the light will still going come on whether the creader is there or not, but it will interrupt the P0300 check cycle so that code can't come on anymore.
Again, this is only from what I have vaiguely gathered from various posts, not necissarilty fact.

Where can I get one. I've been fighting this on and off and am tiring of it. Mostly after I've run the car on long drives 2 or 3 hours of consistent driving, usually always on the return trip. I get the P0300 misfire.
