Valve cover gasket
Well after pulling off the valve cover I noticed part of the gasket still sealed to the head. I called all of the local stealerships and none of them have it in stock. I also called Checker, Advanced, and Autozone. Are the 2g and the Evo gaskets the same? Can I get by with this until I find a regular Evo gasket?
Not really keen on the idea of putting a ripped gasket back on, or the wrong one.

I would assume the 2g and evo gaskets are different. Just have your stealership order one for you I'm sure they will only charge several hundred
No for real though you shouldn't have a problem using the ripped one until you get a new one. Just put some RV compound by the ripped area. The worse that will happen is a bit of oil will drip out. Just look in the area after you start the car and if it doesn't leak your good for now.
I agree 110%. Mine ripped once and I just put grey RTV sealant near the ripped part to kinda bond it together. One thing that is very important, put the RTV on there and just thread the bolts in slightly. Wait about 20 mins then torque them down because if you tighten them too soon the RTV will squeeze out.

Yup I found some rtv in my garage, but there must have been a hole in the bottom of the tube soooo, it all dry. Time to walk to advanced auto. The tear is on the drivers side exhaust cam bump. When I looked around if oil was leaking prior to that I couldn't find any.
