Bye Bye clutch Hope you're not dumping the Shiznit out of it already.
After another 5,000 miles or less, get ready for your Advans to vibrate the front dash when you are on rough roads. Ah, the joys of pwning an Evo..........................

Alot of noises. My clutch makes weird noises and it isn't burnt or killed. I think it is my throw out bearing rattling around or maybe the springs on the clutch. It seems to be worse when I have the A/C on.

Is it when the clutch is released and does it sounds more like a rattle than a grind? If so don't worry about it. Mine has been doing it 20,000 miles now.

i wasnt getting any of this before, if you dump it alot should the weight of the pedal change, dam, well better than a TC, or a tranny problem

it happned when in gear while moving or parked with no movement, its odd I thought maybe something like a bearing for the driveshaft

but again I dont drive the car much but I know the sound wasnt there before anymore opinions, i dropped it off at my friends shop getting a turbo timer install, i caught this kid driving it, maybe the punk had to much fun

Mine makes sort of a knocking sound, but it isn't very loud. I was worried that it was coming from the engine till I pushed in the clutch and the noise stopped. I only hear the noise when stopped, and at idle RPM. It did seem to become more noticable with the A/C compressor on. It doesn't seem to be a real problem, but a new clutch, pp, and throw-out bearing are going on next week.

Good luck.

I had the same the same rattle problem when I was idling with A/C on. Also I had a whine when downshifting. I took my EVO to the dealership and they changed the Input shaft Bearing in the tranny (Warranty work as per TSB). Also they noticed my clutch was worn out when they had it all apart, so I changed the Clutch plate, TOB and Pressure plate (at my cost). Completely fixed the rattle and whining problems.
