BTW Did you design a short throw for the MR yet?
Are you trying to rebuild one?? I had help from Daikin before when I had one rebuilt. They were quite helpful. Only problem I had was I had to talk to one of the engineers who's english wasn't the best.

That, to me, is another thing that needs to be taken into consideration when deciding between multi-plate clutches like the various Exedy, the RPS, and the Tiltons. Being rebuildable doesn't do you any good if you can't get it to the manufacturer to be inspected and rebuilt.

Im not sure of the situation, but I believe many people at many companies are now at SEMA / en route to SEMA... setup starts this weekend and Im sure its been a crazy time for the past week.
Anyhow, the best person to call is (800)346-6091 and ask for Kevin. He can help you get a rebuild on a Twin plate no problem.

Hes very active on the forums and some people may want an opinion from someone not selling / not sponsored.

I just noticed your screen name and what you drive (bpu supra). And you have to ask about RPS?????? That's the standard for supras.

I don't think his point is to impress anyone. He is just giving real examples of great results. I am not sponsered by exedy ... i got a great deal and they told me that their products would do the job, hold up to my power and abuse and all at a great price with awesome customer service. I took them up on the offer and bought one. ( triple ceramic with the older pressure plate). I have pushed a lot of power with my daily use setup ( 558 awhp on pump gas with meth injection). I drive around with 495 awhp everytime i get into the car its setup that way and i am never easy on it.

I ran roughly 80 passes the latter part of this year with the unit and had nothing but perfect results. It improved my shifting so much so that i was able to flat shift the car all the time ...i even drive that way on the road and no problems compared to my act unit that would lock me out of my gears and such. I run 11.1s at 129mph on this "detuned 495 awhp setup". I blew to pieces and destroyed two stock Tcase diffs in no time because of the abuse i put the car through but to the motor and trans stayed perfect as well as the clutch the whole time .Here is a link to the car :

The car isn't a shop car...i am just a guy ,like most on here, that loves evos/racing and going fast everyday. I didn't go from stock to 10s like shops , i went from stock to low 12s, 11.8s, 11.7s, 11. 5s , 11.3s , 11.2s , 11.1s (all on different outtings also)and if it wasn't for the stock diffs holding me back i would have done 10s. I got , different exhaust cam and ralliart diff unit from John at TRE and the cold weather would have put me into the 10s second passes on pump gas with stock motor (besides cams and headbolts), intake manifold , throttle body and ignition that i strived for. Oh well....sorry to rant but wanted to give you a idea who " the hell" i was
