many claim it to be the clutch and on an 03 it might be, but there is a growing list for 05 owners. at our last meet 2 members complained about this problem. one was fully stock and had less than a few thousand miles, could be just an ecu problem.

 

If you have a stock DV, make sure its not on backwards.. If you have an adjustable DV, try to use a lighter spring pressure.. It should help most of these symptoms.. Assuming its not the clutch slipping slightly..

But I know what your describing, at part throttle but high boost, you shift gears and the RPM Rises between gears.. I have been able to isolate it to high spring pressure in my DV.. If you have a forge valve, it probably has the yellow spring in it.. run a lighter spring in it and it should help.

 

Oh and I have seen TWO occasions where the stock DV was installed backward from the factory..

 

If your throttle body valve is not sticking when in gear (take your foot off the gas and if rpm drops immedietly) then it might be compressor surge caused by delayed relief and or insufficient flow rate of your bypass valve. i.e. tight spring pressure as Jack suggested.
