I would check the oil-squirters for those two pistons.
That's a very good point. I didn't think of the oil squiters causing the problem on number 3.

It's all good though. I'll be getting a fully built long block from Mark at TurboTrix!!!!

Awesome.

You're probably right about the injector being the problem for cyllinder 2. But, if the injectors check out ok, it's still possible that a clogged oil-squirter caused some problems there. A hot piston tends to detonate more, which in turn makes the piston hotter still, which makes it detonate more still etc etc etc.

Probably still the injector though.

Thanks for all the tips. I'm sure I'll find out what the cause was.

I don't know Buschur like I know Mark. That is one of the reasons why I like going to Turbotrix for tuning and now for my engine build. No doubt the kit looks good. It's just not what I want.

Thanks

Yeah Barry, Sorry to hear about the motor. Just to think last weekend were all out driving around, and now....well you get the picture. I am glad you are going through Mark and paul at TT. After meeting them the other weekend I would trust them completely. If there is anything I can do to help let me know!!!!

I can't wait to see the tt longblock Barry. One positive thing that has come out of this is that your car will be a lot stronger than it was. You know if you need anything I got your back man.

Turbotrix is definitly good people and all i have is a flash from them, but just from the conversations i had with mike and mark i know that i will continue to go with them for service.
definitly curious as to why the motor blew. 56k is a little high i guess, but not enough for that to happen. did u perhaps just get a bad tank of gas, go somewhere different maybe. this always worries me when i fill up!

I should have some answers once I get the injectors looked at.

u sound pretty positive that it is the injectors. did u know if the duty cycle was too high for them, or something like that?

Very unlikely it was the injectors. I made 372whp 357tq and ran 11s in the 1/4 on the stock injectors and they never maxed out or failed.

Highly unlikely - yes, doesn't mean it can't be the culprit. Barry is sending the injectors out to rule out the possibility of them being it. I see your point, but they are two seperate cars.
