Since your car has a 5yr/60k powertrain warranty, maybe Mitsu will fix it?

No, I doubt that. Haha. They would get the valve cover off and see the HKS cams, not to mention all the other non stock stuff under the hood, and that would be the end of that. I lost trust in the Mitsu Warranty when they wouldn't fix my tranny on my stock car. From that point on I decided that I would do everything myself. Besides, I don't want another stock motor put back in there. I want to upgrade, LOL.

I see you are sold on TT doing the engine.

Just so you know I have strokers on the stand complete and ready to ship. No wait time.

Also, nobody builds a better 4G63 than we do. Want proof? Take a look at Shepherd's car, 7.97 at 179 mph, the same engine I built for him has been in the car since April. Launches at 8,000 rpm, shifts at 10,000 rpm, crosses the finish line at 10,500 rpm. 56 psi of boost and nitrous. There are many others but I figured as long as I was coming up with an example I'd use the fastest AWD 4G63 in the world

Good luck with your choice.

No doubt that your engines are nice and very proven to make and hold the power. I'm going with Mark because I personally know him and I like to go with what I know. Besides, he is helping me out alot.

no doubt that bushcur makes some sick motors, its something i'll be considering when its time, but good for bpclements for his faith to TT. I cant disagree with him if he is comfortable with them. im sure they will do good work.

Barry,
That piston looks alot like what mine did...except one of the exhaust valve heads melted off and bounced around a bit.
Just a good excuse to build a better motor. That's what I did.
That head and block are probably still good.
The head will clean up and the block can be bored, (maybe even just honed).
I guess you've settled on the 2.0. If I had it to do again...(which I most likely will if I keep pushing like I am)..I'd go stroker.
Better torque, down low where you want it on the street. Faster spool on turbo, which will be good when you go w/ turbo kit.
With a well balanced stroker, you can still push 8500rpms (where your 280's like to breath).
I saw RNR has their 2.4L for $3500 without a core charge.
Good luck. Wish I was there to help.

I still have some time to decide exactly what I want. I'm really curious to see how well the setup will work on the stock turbo. It would be nice to run consistant 11.80's on it.
