pretty much at the 200 mile point. cerametallic clutches don't need a long break-in period.

I spoke with Tilton and after couple mild clutch launches, I went off and drove it as it should. No problems yet, just cant get rid of that loud honk/squeak sound when you feather out. It sounds just like cold brakes sometimes.

the noise is annoying but it goes away after it heats up a bit. what annoys me is the chatter from the plates when I let off the gas.

Yup, I also get the P0300 code. BUT my noise doesnt go away when it heats up, it actually stays about the same. Hmm, I wonder if I have something wrong...mine is a ceremetallic, I wonder if that is the difference.

YES it is very annoying when you let off the gas, at first, I thought there was something wrong with my tranny!

I hope Tilton addresses that issue also... some other manufacturer's have small leaf springs that reduce the chatter for those reasons I believe. Granted, this is a "race" clutch, but everyone knows that these clutches will see far more road miles than track... just like the Supra offerings.

i don't see how the p0300 code could be related to the clutch.

The ECU interprets the excessive rattle as misfire...

We came up with this conclusion first, a few weeks back when we noticed 2 then 3 then 4 in a row.

Since the 2003's have this problem anyway, has anyone considered using the creader plug in the OBDII port to alleviate this code from appearing?

That may not be acceptable for the average end user...

I have 6000miles on my Exedy cerametallic twin and the chatter has gotten a lot quieter then when it was new. The groaning sound when engaging the clutch and downshifting is still there. The more I heat up the clutch the less noise their is though.

yes i have considered this option, but that is not the correct way to fix it....is Tilton working on a fix for it?
