if you'd do a little research, and maybe contact nolimitmotors, which is in your signature, you'd know the answer to your own question. Clutches don't hold hp, they hold torque, and yes, the ACT will hold your 475 ft. lbs.

Within the $500 range, I would highly recommend an Exedy organic or stage 2 if you are still on stock turbo. Both will hold up fine but the pedal feel of the Exedy is much more comfortable than the ACT. However, Exedy Organic will hold a little less tq than ACT street. I personally would perfer the organic for stock turbo or twin disc if you want to spend more.

Thanks,
Tom

if i had the money i'd definately get the twin disk, i've heard nothing but possitive feedback on it. But as a full time student and living in an apartment, my budjet only says so much lol.

Thanks once again for all those who replied

Actually i work there smart guy, but ive used plenty of act clutchs in the past and they lived up to what they said they would do. But that dosnt seam to be the case with the evo clutch. So since i havnt used the act clutch yet in my own evo i would figure it would be best to ask the president of the company. Dont you think thats a pretty good idea guy. Also by the way thanks for telling me that clutchs are rated by torque as if i didnt know it already, just figured id tell him my setup

How much of a difference did the lightweight flywheel make for you? I know on my old RSX-S it made a significant difference, dont know on our cars though what the difference would be.

I think the ACT is the route that i'm going to go. Thanks to everyone who recomended it?

I dont have enough modding cash right now for a flywheel, but for future reference. On our cars do we have to drop the tranny too to get a new flywheel? Cause I want to get one eventually. If we dont i'll just do that myself.

Thanks again everyone, ya'll helped save my ***. now it wont be much longer on driving around my P.O.S Automatic GS-T

SpyderBite, I have the ACT w/street disk and now have 50 passes or so on it with 45 of those being no slower than 12.4 and about 5-6 of them in the 12.0s. I had lockout issues with it after about 2 months that you can read about in great detail in past threads, but the basic "fix" for the lockout was to adjust the clutch pedal out closer to the end of the rod. Once I did this, I no longer had any lockout issues and have not missed a single shift at the drag strip since then, except for 2 that were MY fault from simply screwing up the timing. I run consistent 12.0-12.1s on race gas without even thinking twice about my shifting (very important when drag racing). I also managed to hit a 12.26 on pump gas without cams all thanks to consistent 1.6x 60's. Despite earlier troubles, I have to say that my ACT is working like a veritable charm. I also drive my car daily and experience 0 driveability issues. Don't listen to anyone who mentions the "feel," because after a day or two, it feels like the stock clutch again.

Great info right there, definately helps me finalize my choice. I was never to worried about feel. I had a stage 2 exedy on my old car, it was very stiff, but after a day or two, it wasn't anything to worry about.

But thanks for the tip on what to do if I get a lockout. I'll definately keep that into consideration.
