The exhaust comes standard with this bullet muffler. The exhaust, when ordered the way we want to build/ship them, comes with a downpipe with flanges on both ends, an offroad pipe or highflow cat with a flange on one end. The catback pipe then slides onto the cat/offroad pipe and the muffler slides onto the catback pipe. So normally there a 3 flanges on our turbo back exhaust, two on the downpipe and one on either the offroad or highflow cat.

The SCCA Legal Catback exhaust is simply that, a catback exhaust that bolts up to the stock cat or any other flanged offroad pipe/cat.

If you want the entire system flanged (not including the muffler) we can do that, each additional flange is $35. I wouldn't recommend it. The systems fit perfectly and come with a high quality SS band clamp, it doesn't need flanges.

With the help of one of my friends, I installed the TBE this weekend.

Positives:

Great power and airflow.

Amazing sound. In my 9, it sounds like the car has cams. It is very lobey.

Negatives:

Because of the method of shipment I had to rebend one end of the mid-pipe so the muffler would slide on. It was out-of-round significantly.

A lot of guesswork with the "supplied hardware" as stated in the instruction manual. Could use some more details here.

No mention of the screw that needs to be bent out of the way on the IX driveshaft support housing. The screw was what held on a small metal bracket near the o2 sensor wire.

Also, My midpipe only came with one Anti-fouler. I had to go out and buy another one to extend my o2 sensor out of the exhaust so my CEL would go away.

The rear tip doesn't fit perfectly in the center. No biggie. This will be fixed with a Kartboy hanger.

Overall - 9/10. There were some minor setbacks, but the power and sound more than made up for it. The new bullet muffler is badass. I'll post some videos soon of idle, in-car, and a drive by.

Minor fitment/o2 issues mentioned in my post. Nothing major to really worry about.

Do all tbe require that screw to be removed?

Was it suppose to come with 2 anti-foulers?

So whats the price on these If I may ask and I guess they are not on the Site yet?
I'm very close to ordering 1 of them...but now figured out the SCCA is about all I can get since I already have Test pipe and Dpipe. am I right? The price on the site is for a SCCA cat back correct.

thanks

Does it sound just like the vid on the first post? The vid was done indoors and it seems kinda high pitched. I want something that's a bit louder than stock but a little deeper sounding with no drone.
I lightened up the pics my original post (#172), they are a little more clear. It's dark out now and I leave for work tomorrow am before the sun comes up so I can't get better pics any time soon.

As for the cut in my pics, your options when ordering the muffler are:
1. rolled or cut tip
2. straight cut or angle-cut

All the tail pieces are polished regardless of the cut.

The vid in the first post is pretty close, but the muffler is definitely deeper sounding in person. It's quite "lopey" at idle, as was stated earlier. It's rather loud when WOT, but it stays deep all the time. It doesn't sound at all like a cheap Honda muffler. I'm loving it and I'm coming from an awesome sounding exhaust on my WRX, if that's any help. I was pretty un-psyched about Evo exhausts until I got this one on my car.

Just from the sound of the car at idlel, it's clear I'm running a testpipe. I can really see a HFC quieting the system down considerably.

JeffR116, I agree with your 9/10 rating. I didn't have any difficulty, however figuring out which hardware to use. I didn't run into a clearance issue with the bolts on the driveshaft cover. They are close, but clear by about 1/8". Also, my tail piece lined up perfectly. I'm thrilled about the placement of the hangers, they are perfect in every way. I did have to take the muffler to a shop to have them stretch it out because I couldn't get it to fit on the end of the cat-back section. Mine was also slightly dented from shipping. I was so amped up about the exhaust that I'm willing to let that slide.

My testpipe came with an anti-fouler installed (AKA mechanical CEL fix), and it was just long enough to keep a CEL from showing. I have 200 miles, no CEL yet.

I installed the new TBE with Bullet muffler last night. EASIEST exhaust install EVER!! Perfect fit, awesome hangers, awesome hardware. I didn't have to bend a single hanger to get it to line up. The tip sits dead-center in the cutout in the rear bumper.

It's a little louder than stock at idle, quiet aroud town and loud when you're WOT. It looks like a million bucks. Recommended 100%
Ok, no problem, thank you for the feedback. Thinking I'll be ordering this system soon myself.

For those of you that need it to be a flanged system or a flange on something we don't usually flange we can do it. It is a $35 extra charge for each flange we weld on. The flanges are all 3/8" thick laser cut 304 grade stainless steel.

So if I red your post correctly david on page 7 for all the old turbo back/Cat back owners with the old BR race muffler we cant just order the muffler section and bolt it up to our old cat back pipes with out some sort of modification?

I love the sound of this new system and would love to order the muffler section and bolt it on to my old cat back pipe to have the happy medium of lower db's and same performance as my current BR race muffler. What makes it not bolt up to the older pipe's? I thaught in the sound clip of your RS it was bolted to the old pipe. I have no problem with the muffler not sticking out past the bumper.

IF u could please explain why in more detail I would apreciate it
