JeffR,

Sorry you had some problems on the EVO9, the instructions are old, I didn't think about mentioning the screws on the heat shield, sorry about that. I have mentioned it here and there on EVOM.

The tip should be dead center, if it is not dead center simply either push it onto the catback pipe further or maybe pull it out further. The muffler can also be turned. It will fit perfectly in the middle Most of all thanks for buying from us.

CACalomino,

We have changed the system around a bit so I am worried that if I start sending out these mufflers for old systems they may not fit perfectly in the cut out. I can sell them BUT it would be with no gaurantee that they have a perfect fitment in the cutout. One option is for use to send the muffler, tip and hanger in pieces so you can weld it up yourself in the rear and make it dead on.

Sounds good when being reved but at idle it sounds very raspy and not very deep sounding. I'm really leaning towards this exhaust but it almost sounds like a lawn mower at idle. I'm going to take everyones word and give it a shot cause I know Dave makes some great parts.

Also, I listened to the post that kmcconn9 made with the HKS and new BR exhaust and the HKS sounded very tame compared to the BR exhaust. I'm not considering the HKS but like I said the BR sounded loud in comparison.

Spanked,

The HKS muffler is very small inside, no nearly 3". It is quite a bit quieter than our system, also has a resonator in it, the HKS that is.

Thanks but I'm not even considering the HKS just using it as a sound comparison cause kmcconn9 had sounds clips of both on the same car.

I had another idea as well. Is the muffler the same length? if so could be an easy cut and replace? If so how much would u charge for the muffler alone with the front side flared so it would slip fit on the cat back pipe?

Yes, cold air causing smoke.

The muffler, tip, bend and hanger would be $225.

Just a FYI for everyone:

I made 355whp/365tq with this exhaust on my IX today. The only mods were this BR exhaust, Hallman MBC and DynoFlash custom tune. This exhaust makes SICK power on the IX!!
