How much hp can the 6.5 tme hold?
USDM MR turbo does have 10.5 hotside with single flapper, but unlike JDM Turbo's, it does not have the titanium magnesium shaft and turbine.
So it's not like the 6.5 tme.
also the twin scroll design has changed on the JDM turbo to hold more capacity.
from my research 6.5 TME would spool better, respond better, and would hold about 450whp or even more depending on your tune and supporting mods.
But of course, you will be out of the efficiency level of the turbo, which i don't know specifically, but it'll be around 390 whp, which is similar to stock turbo with 10.5 hotside.
But you will see a better result in 1/4 mile time, not because you have more power, but you could actually use all of your power within 1/4 mile time efficiently.
your 60ft will improve, you'll be able to build better boost off of the line (with or without 2 step) and you will have better spool up when you shift, which means you'll be wasting less time trying to put the power down to the ground between shifts.
You could always throw in FMIC, IC pipe (3inch), fuel pump, bigger injectors, methonal kit and boost 35psi with a good tune (flash or piggyback or even standalone) and run low 12's all night. or 11's if you're a good driver.
