I have a Perrin catdelete with O2 sim, so does this mean I can:

(For racing at the strip) Remove my catback and run straight DP and delete with the O2 safely attached to the bottom?

I see that someone brought my thread back from the dead. I just installed my wideband in the rear o2 bung and took the stock sensor and zip tied it out of the way. Everything seems to be working fine, eventually I plan to get anonther bung installed but not sure when i will get the time.

Why can't we hack up something that would completely eliminate the (now useless) stock 02 plug that just sit(or dangling) glowing red (or how hot does it get?) under the car?
Surely there is a way to satisfy the ECU's probe to see if the heater circuit to the plug is working. It's probably just reading for a resistance upon powering up right?

Not just powering up. Continued resistance. I believe it is always heated.

all the simulator does is fool the ecu to thinking that the exhaust gasses are emision legal, u cant remove ur o2 sensor and without problems. just weld an additional bung.

Im goin to get my exhaust put on wensday if everything works right. I have a couple of extra 02 bungs laying around and planned on putting on in there anyways formy wideband, but should i just put both in and put the stock O2 back in or just leave it out? Will it hurt to run it with the CEL on. I know in DSM's it wouldnt cause i mean they pretty much came on when the car was driven off the lot or it should have, lol.
Thanks
Dustin

sorry to bring this thread back...but i am throwing codes 136 and 141. Trying to come up with a way where I dont have to buy a replacement sensor...can i just buy an o2 simulator leave the o2 sensor still plugged in, would i still throw those codes with the o2 sim?

I'm too lazy to look up those codes. What exactly are they?

You running like a 3" catless or what?

if you have a electronic o2 sim, you can do whatever you want. if you have a mechanical o2 fix, it haves to be in the pipe.
