Seeing as it's your forum you probably have moderator rights there so, yes, you can still post to it. The rest of us can't though. Not that I have anything of substance to add to that thread mind you; just pointing out the fact that it's closed .

I just want to know why a thread was started to bash Shiv's tune before the customer called Shiv and asked politely for a re-tune, or at least talked with him about the problem, since he is obviously not satisfied.

Has anyone considered that this could be the result of a mechanical problem cropping up recently which is neither Shiv's, nor the customer's, fault?

Is it always going to be necessary to bash the tune before ruling out the possibility of mechanical problems around here?

Just talked with another vendor that has his own forum on here. Anyone that has their own forum can moderate it themselves and lock it too. I see no reason why a moderator would have locked the thread I am talking about, it was fine with everyone but Shiv.

Stick around, next week we will have new charts, new power, new tune.

Al will be up to bat.

Lets stick to Evo's though, or at least take this to the 'other' forums.

Thread Tools -> Edit Thread -> then see who locked it

Only admins and mods can do this.

This is retarded, why are we even talking about this? Let's stick to positive stuff.

Seeing as how the big debate with the last thread was "Oh there was a boost leak or a problem somewhere, and if it were my shop, i would have diagnossed the problem and fixed it first and if the customer still wasnt happy, then proceed with removing old parts, installing new parts, and then tuning to see advantages and disadvantages." How is this thread gonna be any better than the other one? Its not unless you guys do what you said would have been most logical in the other thread.

Ps. If this in anyway disrespects or offends anyone, please let me know. It shouldnt but thanks!

I'm sorry but I think starting this thread is pretty childish for someone of Dave Buschur's reputation and credentials.

There is a child in all of us my friend and it seems all these vendors have very visible childish qualities. Some are for the better and others are ummmmmm........ well....uh

Not quite Dave. I cannot lock threads. I cannot delete posts. Any pruning/editing activity is done by a moderator or supermoderator. Either upon my request or upon his discretion. I have never asked for a thread to be locked. And in this case, I even asked the mod that this thread be unlocked since I didn't see anything wrong with it. The end goal is to get a customer's car running right, not to look good or bad.

So, with that in mind, would either you or the customer provide the following info:

1) Name of customers (this can be PM'd to me obviously)
2) Type of WRX (year specificially)
3) What mods are on the car

4) And maybe a clearer dyno graph so we can clearly see what the boost and afr values are. Kinda hard to problem solve when you not sure what you are looking at.

I'd love to keep this thread civil and free from name calling. I'm even going to remove Dave's quote from my signature as a sign of good faith

Thanks!
Shiv

Nice to see that after 5 years you are now reformed and will keep things civil and avoid name calling.

I think we are making progress here.

carry on
