Dave,

What's the average whp that "Stock" 03s are making on your dyno? I'm just curious to see what my total gain has been and to figure out what my next selection should be. (263whp on your dyno)

Thanks,

Sorry guys, I went to school for 4 days on Dyno and EFI training. Very good class, very advanced. We are going to be re-calibrating our dyno here next weekend. I will make a note of it because I am fairly certain the numbers are going to go up atleast slightly. In the class I saw some things I don't THINK were ever done when we set up my dyno. Maybe this is why they are just so damn low. I hate to change it but above all I'd like it to be accurate so they are coming here on Saturday the 18th to go over the calibration.

Here are some dyno sheets. First one is Trent's.

This second one is Andy's (justchill).

Sorry for the long delay on the sheets.

BTW, both of those sheets are their pump gas vs. race gas numbers.

The DLI2 should be more than enough spark for your car at those power levels and boost. Running the plugs down to .022 is as tight as I recommend and usually works well. The BPR7ES is the plug we have used for a very long time BUT the stock plugs work extremely well, cost is high though.

A stock EVO on our dyno puts down on average 210 whp.

Are you going to do a car before and after to see if there is any effects of the recalibration? Just wondering for future referance.

PS...any idea why my car seemed to still be making power at let off? From the chart it never really peaked like most I have seen. ( I'm not *****ing, just curious )

Arent you able to run a larger gap using the HKS DLI?

I am currently running .026-27 on my car (BR8ES). It's not misfiring but I figured I could make more power by running larger gap and using a better ignition?

I know youre suppose to use a smaller gap the more power your making but doesnt larger gap=more power?

Trent's car I think had 110 in it. That is what he usually buys at a local station near his house.

I generally set up the dyno to stop at 7,000 rpm. I can go higher but usually it isn't needed. In the case of your car, girlie, I probably should have. Just habit to stop at 7k.

I will pull my EVO on the dyno when we start and again when it is calibrated.

Think we could go higher next time to see if it made a difference?

Thanks Dave!

Really? I thought the stock Evo came with Iridium plugs and I am running on some right now seems fine to me.
