The question is what does a DSM 20G look like? Any pictures? Is it 5 blades or 6? If it is 6, then that isn't a reverse 20G wheel. Right?

Ok, this is taken from Buschur's website. This 20G is a six bladed design. Can someone explain to me how the aforementioned 5 bladed compressor wheel is this 20G?

well my company also carries the 20G both evo 8 and evo 9 compressor cover, and im personally running a WR turbo on my car. i am very familiar with the WR and evo 8 20G, and that 5 bladed wheel posted in this thread looks 100% billet just like the WR. our evo 9 compressor cover 20G's are coming in this week, i guess i will see very soon what wheel it actually uses.

I know. I have a WR on my car, and like you said, that does not look like a typical cast wheel. THere is a possiblity that Dave and Forced Performance are working together, but not telling anyone. If that's the case, can I just swap an Evo9 cover on my WR?

Looking for Dave Buschur to respond please to clear this up. THanks.

Very true atlvalet. Buschur doesnt make the turbos, someone else does and he hasnt disclosed who that company is in any of the previous threads. Maybe Robert @ FP is the man. . . .. the world may never know.

this thread is turning into a conspiracy theory...

How can they be the same wheel? The WR uses the smaller compressor housing and no one has complained of surging, unlike the 20g-8.

This isn't conspiracy theory, this is merely asking questions.

1) The picture I pulled was from the Buschur website. It was a picture of an Evo 8 20G. It has a 6 bladed compressor wheel.

2) The picture of the Evo9 20G is a 5 bladed compressor wheel. That is certainly not the compressor wheel shown on their website for the Evo 8 20G

3) From what I understand, the only changes Dave made to the Evo 9 20G from the 8 was the compressor cover, and maybe some machining to fit the new wheel.

4) Dave says their 20G is a reverse design of the DSM 20G wheel. Basically a backward copy.

I'll I have are questions, since the wheel looks similar to a WR AND from what I know, the DSM 20G is not a five blade design. I'm just looking for clarification. That's it.

well here is a picture of a dsm 20g which clearly has the 6 blades, so you are correct in that.

The question is, then, what the heck is that a picture of in post #1 of this thread?

Calling on David Buschur to clarify please.

Oh, and just to squash the idea that I'm trying to besmirch DB's reputation, I consider myself in the market for a 9 20G once more numbers come out as an upgrade to the WR.
