This is David Buschur again, think I am under Jarrod's name now.

Please read post #87, superhatch has it correct.

The WR is NOT available in the EVO9 housing. The turbo that FP and I are offering is available only though us.

Lowness,

A test like that is possible but to be honest it isn't something I am curious about. That EVO9 compressor housing is so good that I see no sense in taking a step "backwards".

I did multiple back to back tests of the 20g-6 and the 20g-5 compressor wheels built by both companies and it was a wash.

The original WR and 20 G units in Evo 8 compressor covers would both have compressor surge when running high boost

The new IX compressor cover is a huge advantage over the old evo 8 cover - no one would want to run the old evo 8 cover on any kind of turbo if they could have a IX cover

Dave, I can read but I am not a believer. Okay this new great turbo is more like an Evo 9 WR/20 G Frankenstein. Whatever the community was still misled IMO. This after the fact cleanup is amusing. Seems to be similarly performing turbos IMO WR vs. 20g-9. Only time will tell if this is the real deal or just another over hyped turbo. Excuses only hold weight so long and w/o quantifiable results at this time I still say this 20g -9 is overhyped.out!

IE - seriously man, you need psychiatirc assement. What would you ever be a believer of any Buschur product when you are a long term supporter of Vishnu products?

You are constantly comming on here with negative attacks and acusations.

The only reason why David has to explain the situation with such exacting detail is to respond to your accusations in the first place.

Responding to your negative comments is not "damage control" its _ _ _ _ _ control.

What is your deal anyway - from what i heard you dont even own an evo anymore.

David Buschur has given more helpful information and assistance to this "community" than any other vendors I know of, please don't attack the guy for trying to set the record staight in response to your insinuations.

i would really like to have you come down we tune your car without the turbo - swap in the turbo and do a A- B comparision same day same dyno just swapping the turbo which IMHO is the only rational way to test a part

Call me anytime and i can arrange an appointment for you

While I don't frequent the board, I did notice this commotion and thought I would comment.

I, Robert Young (not fuller as someone mentioned earlier), did work in conjunction with David Buschur to help him get his EVO9 turbocharger upgrade where he wanted it, working well and in the hands of his customers. The truth is an easy story to keep straight, and I can't add anything to the detailed story that David relayed earlier today, actually I think he went above and beyond what was required to explain his process and tests that led to the product in question. Personally I consider issues like that to be internal and private, but you guys are lucky he likes explaining himself, you get the big picture that way.

For the days that he wrung out those two turbochargers anything could have happened. It was a situation were the truth was going to be discovered, hell or high water.

We are happy with the performance of our EVO8 WR turbo the way it is and have no plans to change it at this point. Some WR customers have contacted us requesting to convert their WR turbos into EVO9 based turbos and we are happy to perform custom turbo work like this for any of our customers, it is actually reasonably priced readily available. With that said we are not offering a EVO9 based version of our WR turbocharger, only the EVO8 version and reworks into 9's for existing customers.

Boost on Brothers!

I believe in Buschur products. I have an XEDE. Does that count?

you are offering a EVO9 based WR turbocharger, but we have to go through Buschur Racing to buy it.

The only thing that seems strange in all this is why Robert would allow only Dave to sell the WR turbo in the 9 cover. It seems if it really works better than in the 8 cover , why wouldn't he want to sell it to his customers that way? It is his wheel design.
