spider gears in the diff

edit- what type of noise are you hearing again a whine or a grumbling and are you sure its coming from the rear diff and not the TC

also if the front diff is making no noise and you dont feel a problem in your front you most likely dont have a problem.
I say this because if you know how a diff works, when you go into a turn, your spider gears start to turn so the outside wheel can turn faster then the indside wheel.it does this so the rear end of the car doesnt bind around the turn and since you said the fluid had silver in it I would guess that yes you do have a bad rear diff and it is the spider gears, but it also could be your carrier bearings in the diff

The only time I noticed a problem or produced any noise or bound up was when the car was warmed up sufficiently and I was turning. In a straight line: no noise, no binding.

The more I think of it, the more I think the cetner diff might be involved.
