Walbro pump failure?
I paid the big money for the PE Denso 210lph pump because I killed two Walbros. They got louder and louder with pressure starting to fluctuate at full boil. The Denso has been freakin great! I paid a little over $200 for it. BTW the PE 255 pump is just a Walbro

My Walbro changed the pitch of its whine when I went to an XEDE map that had a too rich fuel table. The sound changed back to normal, once I switched back to the old map. I guess that the richer map caused the pump to switch into its higher voltage mode.
Go figure!
The Denso Supra pump though of a higher quality than the Walbro, better flowing and quieter running, is not plug and play as I understand it. There is a Buschur Racing high output intank replacement pump however.

I also killed a walbro last month, by the time I made it home my car was running mid 16s- mid 17s AFR. Got home and pulled the FPR hose off and pressure only went up by 2psi and it was running lower than normal pressures even with the hose connected. The bad thing is it wouldn't start acting up until the pump was good and warmed up about 10min of the car running so that made for a fun trip home.
Looks like the denso pump would be a very good replacement and pay for itself!
