Evo Ix

Was thinking about getting EVO IX as a daily driver. Canit be modded and what mods would be necessary to get one of these to have 400 whp and still be friendly to drive on a daily basis. Does anyone have a set up like this and what did the mods cost and are they happy with the car. I already have a race car just looking for something fun and dependable to drive on a daily basis.

omg ... anywho's yes it is achievable... majority of the cars here are 400+ whp and still are able to be daily driven... the search button is the number 1 tool here... i'd say most likely warrtalon will be up in here and give you his words of wisdom...

400whp, it is hard to say since all dynos read different, some read way high, others way low.

I am not trying to flame here because I am a noob myself, but I think that when you sign up for an account here you should not be allowed to post until you have been a member for a month or two. Just a thought.

You're sidebar says you already have a corvette. So you are already used to ****ty gas mileage and more torque than you can throw a stick at. Get a more economic daily driver. The chevy 350 and the mitsubishi 4g63+turbo are two different machines that you might have trouble wrapping your head around and keeping your sanity. If you're a v8 guy, stick with what you know.

Simply asking a question . Just looking for the best set up to have to get 400 whp on a daily driver. If anyone is put out by the question I would suggest not answering. I thought the purpose of this forum just like other forums was to ask questions from people who know. Not trying to flame either just looking for the proper set up.

dude first off let me say this welcome, now this question has been posted over and over and over. You understand.... it gets old after the first post about it, but every day we get posts like this one and which bov and intake should i buy. search next time. you will find a ton of info on different setups. as far as your question its simple. 3"turboback, boost controller, boost gauge, egt, ecu flash, and cams. that will give you about 350-375 whp.after those basic mods get lower innercooler pipe, drop in filterand headstuds. after that you will need another tune, then you can play with alky, soon after that you WILL need a new clutch if not before these mods. But my advise is break it in and learn how to drive her, the evo is a very powerfull car to begin with

Most IX make dam near 300whp with just an MBC, AEM or K&N Intake, and a reflash.
350whp when you add a full 3" turbo back exhaust.
