Turbular Manifolds, Daily Driving, and Rain
Turbular Manifolds, Daily Driving, and Rain
I had a question for you tubular manifold owners. Are there any precautions of ways you guys prevent rain from falling through to your manifolds. The reason I ask this is because I know rain would directly fall through and cause the manifold to crack sooner if anything if I drove it in the rain. I guess this is worded kind-of bad, but I was just wondering what some of you daily drivers-that see rain- do. Do you just deal with it? I am looking at a Tubular T4 manifold but do not want it cracking because I daily drive and normally, my other cars haven't ever had hood vents(especially right over the manifold).

Searched "HKS manifold cover" and found nothing. Sorry if I seem very no0b-ish, but if you have a link that you can post, that'd be awesome. I just wanted some ideas on preventing maintenance on the manifold. What is it? Is it just heat wrap or something? The manifold I'm looking at is a top mount but I still don't think I want rain getting on it while it is super hot.
As far as Full-Race... nope. I'll pass.
