Do it. I would let 150 of the units sell to the fanboi's before breaking the news that the $110-200 Megan Racing or ebay type units perform the same or better than the expensive, cast, non-chambered versions.

o2 housing is a touch time consumeing too...will be a serious pain in the *ss to put one on, then take it off and swap to another one just for dyno testing. At least a days work right there. So we do appreciate that Dave, when ya can.

Well I have still not done the testing BUT I do have some news to add to this thread.

The Invidia 02 housing. We have a car here that came in for an install. He supplied his own Invidia 02 housing. The part looks nice as I think I have already said but fitment sucks and after looking more closely at it I am wondering what the hell they were thinking.

There is a place where there was a hole for an 02 housing, it is welded shut, on his and on the one I just bought. Then there is a second hole that is not welded shut that is located more to the front/drivers side. Well, here lies the first problem. The factory 02 sensor wiring will just BARELY reach the bung where it has to go. I actually feel that this wire is pulled so tight by the time the 02 sensor is installed that it is probably going to cause a failure of the wiring in time.

Next problem with the part. The housing is large, so large that putting the bolts back in to hold it to the turbo is close to impossible. There is actually one that you can't get in at all. The others need to be tightened with an open end wrench, so you really need to do it off the car.

Will it make power? I don't know yet. Does it fit correctly, NO.

Bon Dia,

What WHP will the car your testing it on have?

Parts like this can hurt low powered evos but help high powered ones, we'll see what this does

Danki

davidbuschur,

You cast you own manifolds. How about casting your own O2 housing? There's clearly a market for a quality housing that performs.

I was under the impression DB just ported and coated stockers. But I dunno, I didnt double check before I posted. Which usually leads to biting me in the *** =P
