MR Tranny takes 2.3 quarts... right?

Im going to change my tranny oil today (75w85 GL-4 Mopar Synthetic tranny fluid - rebranded Castrol Syntorq) and just looked up in the owners manual that it takes 2.3 quarts where the 5-speed takes 3.0 quarts. People are saying 2.8 probably because you cant fit 3 full quarts in the 5-speed. So I'm guessing the MR 6-speed will only take about 2 quarts (I bought 3 anyway.)

Can anyone else verify this before I go warm the car up and start draining?

2.5 and now its leaking... ill let it leak for a little bit then plug it.

*edit*

I put 2 quarts in with the car slightly raised in the front, then I lowered it back level onto my garage floor, waited about 15 minutes then kept filling very very slowly until it started to leak into my gf's pyrex baking pan

It takes about 2.3 quarts. I recommend red line MTL or shyncromesh.

Let me know how the Mopar stuff works for you. I love it in mine. Can't stand the synchromesh, and I don't think the red line MTL is 75W-85.

Yea the Redline isnt and neither is BG I or II. The manual says (like everyone has already quoted) 75w85 GL4 or EXACT equiv. The line above it has information regarding the 5-speed and it says it can take 75w85, 75w90, GL4 or GL5 bla bla but not EXACT equiv like it says for the 6 speed.

Im going to go warm it up and drive it now. Im thinking about pulling the fill plug again after its warm but I dont know, I'm kind of tired hehe. Just want to make sure I dont have too much oil in there somehow. Although I probably spilled at least 1/10th so I bet I'm close. I hope the Mopar stuff works

Initial driving seemed good. As good or a little better than the OEM fluid... Although I am having to push the clutch completely to the floor to get it totally smooth. Im guessing this will clear up in a few miles so I'll see how it goes!

50 miles on it and it feels a little more notchy than stock. I had more "suck into gear" feel with oem fluid. Should I put another 50 or 100 miles on it and see or should I drain it for OEM now? I hope its not hard to go back to non-syn tranny fluid because I think the oem fluid is non-syn.
