I'm saying it provides no value that warrants a $450 price tag. Why do you need a cast housing when the stocker is cast and can be ported? The huge opening with 3" outlet and removal of the dividing wall doesn't appear to help that much. The stocker is cast, fits perfectly, uses the stock mounting bracket, won't break, looks "stealthy," and costs about $100 to port. The Works housing is the 2nd true cast iron housing in the market behind the stocker and doesn't provide $450 worth of improvement unless I'm missing something.

$450 = GSC cams = 30whp/30wtq
$450 = Custom Dynoflash = 20-30whp/wtq (and you get to keep $75 to use on a fuel pump or MBC)
$500 = alky injection = 30whp/50wtq
$450 = Works o2 housing = 7-10whp

One of these things is not like the other...

The Works should be maybe $200 at most.

How do you explain wheels then? If that was true we would all be using Enkie RPF-F1's. Just a thought...

Not sure what you mean, 4ring. Wheels that are expensive usually are extremely lightweight and extremely strong (e.g. forged), which provides a performance benefit. If a set of wheels costs is lighter, provides less rotational mass, looks nice, and costs 1/4 of another set that weighs more, provides less performance, and looks like stock...well, it sounds like a no-brainer to me. I don't think wheels are analagous, though.

Good question, but the better question is why would you need to if you get the more powerful stock ported manifold instead of a crack-prone, less-powerful aftermarket tubular header?
