Nick drives a DSM. Outback Steak rules at the Outback near BR or Cedar Point. They sell the 20oz Outback style prime rib.. you can't get that around here

Welp this time tomorrow I should have all the numbers up.

I have some things I would like to test.. I hope BR is nice and will strap down our cars twice I'd be willing to tip whoever did it haha.

I'd like to try BR8ES vs BR7ES with no changes. If I can bust *** alky injection with 100 octane (looking doubtful). Of course minor changes to my map if needed.. other stuff but I'm too tired to think about it anymore lol

Well anyways stay tuned!

Well my charts suck due to an issue at low rpm with building boost (bov of all things). I made **** tq but hit 304 hp 19psi on pump (BR MD)

With pretty much the same tune and 26ish psi I hit 328hp again with the low rpm boost issue so **** tq.

10hrs of driving and a hot day of playing with cars.. I'm pooped. I'll post up some more info later.

Shaun cpevo had some issues with his EBC. I'll let him type it out because I'm too tired... he will be in the ballpark of 410-440tq and 370-390hp when it's all said and done. Very impressive using a lil 20G.

Nice having you guys at the shop today. Your final tunes looked really good, you did a good job on it.

It's funny, I hadn't seen this thread or the one on our site about the bets and dinners, now that is some funny stuff! haha

You're probably too busy to notice stuff like that haha. I'll cash in my steak dinner when I make 303+ hp on pump with a beautiful curve!

I posted this on the BR forums... again I'll update after some rest.

Well I made more hp on less boost with the 20G-9-5. almost 3psi less! TQ was ****ty partly to my noobie tuning and mostly to a funky bov. I bought a Forge DV afterwards and the drive home was a blast. All the missing tq is definately back.. too bad I don't have charts to show it lol. Car made 304 at 7050 rpm 19psi on pump gas. The curve was horrible but some of the earlier curves were nicer.. I wanted 303hp so I can give Nick **** for a couple days.

I should have just tightened the BOV but I had to keep it somewhat loose otherwise I had driveability issues :\ I'm glad to be back to 100% recirc as it makes my noobie tuning easier. As for the APS with a good cleaning & adjusting I'm sure it will find a new happy owner

I'd like to give a big thanks to Buschur Racing.. it's definately the coolest shop I've ever been two and it's always great hanging out with the team. I've learned a lot from you guys and I will continue to support/promote your products as best I can for the years to come.

My tuning.. well I'm learning. I've learned so much in the past two weeks it would take me a month to put it into words. It's easy to blame faulty parts for bad numbers or problems with a tune... but figuring out why and how it effected your tune and correcting is a learning experience in itself. More to come about this if anyone cares.

I was really getting into this post but I'm pretty much out of gas. 3hrs sleep 10hrs of driving and 5 hours of playing with my evo I'm pooped. I'll update/add to this tomorrow!

Also real quick..

I didn't test the "maxcools" because I had too many other things on my plate. I'm working with the maker of this product to design a unit that can fit around my br upper ic pipe and can be used while at the track. This may be overkill but cheap overkill at least

I'm too tired to post but the alky injection is going in tonight with the exception of alky/den water (i dont have any yet). Tomorrow comes the testing/nozzle install and tuning. I may head back up to BR fairly soon for a couple pulls to see where I stand.

k back to work and sleep updates soon if anyone wants more...

It's definately not the turbo trust me. Flat tq curve with a HUGE dip in the AFR from 3500 almost to 5000. I'm suprised it made any hp lol.

Pump (93oct) was 304 and like 246 tq I expect it to be tq to be 290ish if not even with the HP.

^^Avg AFR 10.8 / 10.3 min / 11.1 max (spoolup)
^^Avg Boost 19.9 / 18.4 min / 20.5 peak

Race was 328 with like 312tq. I don't want to speculate on the increase in these numbers until it actually hits the dyno again. There plenty left tho I'm sure of it.

^^Avg AFR 11.7 / 11.5 min / 12.3 max (spoolup)
^^Avg Boost 25.1 / 21.7 min / 27.0max

I didn't want to make anyone strap down the car a second time otherwise I would have a worthy chart. It was a hotass day around 90f in the dyno bay. I'll be back up there soon.

Boost now is rock solid. Before I would go WOT anywhere from 2800 to about 3300 and I would get horrible flutter or surge I'm not sure the exact term. The car would run like crap from low rpm boosting.. period. This made tuning low RPM very hard for me and caused some knock on the dyno.

This is fixed! I need to review my boost logs but just at glancing at them I can tell there is difference.

K back to work cause i'm crazy like that

You are welcome back anytime. I wish the dyno wasn't so dangerous and we could just turn you loose on it and let you drive and tune completely alone. With a few minor mishaps on it though it's a scarey situation. I think it went well and the car made good power, you should be proud of yourself. Tuning is not an easy thing to do.

Thats no problem man. I would rather not do the pulls myself just for the fear of breaking something lol. The tq was way down but I've fixed that problem and added even more with alky injection.. I'll come back up next month sometime and I should have a dyno sheet I can be proud of

What's funny is.. by the time I have the car exactly the way I want it... It will be time for the motor build and 3065 kit. Next year I have big plans for the evo.. it will be paid off and I'll finally have the $$$ for a nice daily driver. Not only that but I'll have 5yrs of service in with my work so I'll be able to take more time off and attend track events
