White Rabbit Fluttering at high boost.. Help.

i have a white rabbit turbo and im planning to boost 27 psi on race gas. everytime time i boost close to 26 psi the car flutters past 5k rpms. I have a forged bov with a light spring and i have the stock wr turbo actuator. Is this fluttering problems happening because i need a stiffer bov spring, better actuator, or because i need to be tuned to the race gas, or all of the above? Thanks

I had WR for few month and spoke alot with Robert at FP. WR fluters (surge) to begin with, 5gear on full boost will no work until you about 80MPH, then it wont do it.

So the solution to drop down a gear (then you will be fine) or to change turbo.

By the way (spool on WR is soo ooo good) Much faster than stock turbo. With HKS 280s My 21 PSI was at 3000RPM.

If you can leave with turbo surge its the best autocross turbo.

You will have your boost drop down with stock WG act to about 22 psi by redline. Upgraded will hold up what you want.

Different BOV spring or watever wont fix your Surging (its not your BOV its the turbo)

You have a d ynograph with overlays showing the quicker spool? It usually sustains boost longer up top, but doesn't usually provide increased spool.

Integ, it's the Forge BOV. YOu need the RS, not the old style one that is no longer recommended.

Wouldnt the forged with a stiffer spring work just as good as the RS. Ive heard good reviews on the rs but it cant be that much better. Is the upgraded auctator a waiste of money in ur opinion?

Yes, I do, I'll look over my correspondence with Robert at FP, I should have a AEM log file somewhere.
He was stating that tipical boost on WR is seen tad before stock , and mine was 300-400 sooner. Now I have 20g9-5 and it spools 500rpm sloower. No surging though, that was the reason for a change WARR.

Cool, I look forward to seeing it, since I haven't seen any other WRs that spooled earlier than stockers. I've only seen TMEs do it (Ti/Al internals).

Integ, no, that old Forge stinks no matter what spring. It's just not a good design - you're supposed to use the Forge RS. This has been hashed out quite a bit over the past year.
