that's not bad at all, i used to live in CA so i can recall some of the strict regulations.

MA is pretty leniant on the smog law, but it's just a hastle getting it done every year even when the car is new. Hell before you actually take ownership of the car the dealership drives the car to the inspection shop to get a sticker.

*this thread reminds me, the evo is due for inspection again this year.

Not true. I bought my IX last year from a private party and im exempt from smog till 2012.

Are you sure its 6years before your first smog check in Cali? That means I got till 09 for my first smog check!!!

CT is every 2 years I believe and all they do is really plug in the OBDII scanner, if you have any CEL's you fail, otherwise you're good to go.

lol...I don't know what you've heard about the eastcoast, but it's definitely not easy going.

At least you can have 94db...we get ticketed if we're louder than stock at all.

is it every 2 years? i have received anything in the mail yet for my 05, i hope not though. buti have no cels so i may be fine

All I have is an OBD2 scan to worry about. As long as I don't have any CELs I don't have any trouble.
