My 2.3L build, lots o pics
I finished up my 2.3L this past week with a set of cams and finally got it legal to take for a road test. Wow. Previously it was running low 12's between 113 and 114. For the few seconds I throttled it at 12 PSI, it felt almost as powerful if not the same. I wish I had stroked my old DSM like I wanted to do. I missed out.
I'm familiar with the difference between torque and horsepower. That was a 3K to 6K rpm punch in 4th gear, not down low where the torque is going to be noticed the most. The cams play a role, but I'm sure the increased displacement didn't hurt it.
Car has been sold and replaced by a very nice 01 Lightning. Was running like a top til he sold it though and I am sure still is.
