Dave Keep us up to date on this new turbo, i am about to buy a 50trim kit (Next 2 mnths), but if this turbo can trap 120-122 pump gas, peak psi @ 4200 or so on stock bottom end on 93 oct and 128+ on race gas. This will be the turbo i buy!!! So if this does trap those speed or puts out those hp #'s to do so on your dyno ill order it todaY! So keep me informed even pm me when u get this info... I just want to make sure i dont miss out if that is the case

This turbo sounds quite interesting for me! Id like a turbo I can get 415-430whp out of on pump gas. However, right now the only thing that can do that for me costs upwards of $3500-4500 which is way too much. A bolt-on turbo that can make 420whp... woah.

BTW, Id like to add that I think the absolute BEST thing for you to do (David B.) is to test this turbo on more moderately modified EVO8 like most of us have on the forums. I think 60%+ have TBE, cams, fmic yada. Less than 5% have built motors, ported head, meth injection etc.

I think its safe to say A LOT of people are looking for a bolt-on upgrade for the EVO that makes more power on pump gas without sacrificing too much spool up. Something that guys with a TBE, cams, fmic, and a flash can run and make 20-40whp extra with. That'd be great. I think a lot of people were hoping to do that with the 20G-9-5 but it didnt happen because thats not what its meant for. Its meant for more power at higher boost utilizing meth or race gas.

Dyno the new turbo on a car other than David B's. It's not indicative at all of what most people who buy this turbo will be able to do.

MHI have re-designed their 05H Turbine wheel, it is now very similar to the new Garrett GT Turbines and as you all know -> less back-pressure = more power

Its still runs the same major and exducer diameters, the only thing needed is a re-balance

Just for the input...I'd say you would be hard pressed to get 400wtq on pumpgas out of a 50 trim. The 50 usually puts down about the same torque numbers as a cammed stocker, just about 50-80 more whp. On alky or race fuel diff story of course.

I think most evo owners have all the usual-boltons including cams and the occasional EMS and seeing the gains done with a similiar setup would be great.

Sounds good. Bump for more details and some pricing. 10.8 w/ built motor & C16? Sounds pretty stout for a 20G Hybrid. How would this compare to a Garrett GT3071 w/ .63 A/R?
