Anyone else noticed this with 5 speed?

Hello all,

After some track time and having some trouble getting into 2nd under full accel., I decided to put some bg syncroshift in and a s.s. clutch line on my '05, 5 speed.
I had already removed the clutch restricter. My mods are: MBC. car has 8300 on the odo.

Took it for a spin and at first I was dissapointed, I still was grinding 2nd... but then I noticed something... If I run the rpm's up to 7300 or so (approx.) and shift, it goes right in. If I try to shift at redline or around 7000.... grind.

Now obviously, as soon as I do more mods, flash it or add cams this will probably go unnoticed because I'll be trying to shift higher. I just wanted to know has anyone else noticed this?
