Graveyard bump!

So I am again thinking about going to the HKS intercooler due to weight. I am also on stock turbo and plan to be basically indefinitely. I'd like to use the ETS upper and lower short route IC piping and am not sure if it'd fit with the HKS?

I also dont know if the HKS is totally overkill for a stock turbo application. Intended use is HPDE and graduating to NASA TT racing at some point. I have the Ebay AMS knock-off and it did produce more power at a given boost (26PSI). I don't remember the specific data because the car was tuned like 10 years ago at this point.

What did you end up using EVOlutionary?

Also can anyone else provide other ones which are tube and fin? Seems to be the deciding factor in terms of weight.

Plazmaman intercoolers, very popular and highly regarded in Australia, used by a ton of WTAC cars. 15.8 pounds tube and fin, swept back design. Not cheap, but if you want the best....

I ran the ARC 073 wide intercooler. Worked great up to 450-500whp on stock frame turbos. I am going to see how far I can push it once I get the car back together. . .

^If you wanna get rid of your ARC lemme know!

I currently have a Perrin on my car and it works well but I'd love to replace it at some point with a tube and fin design strictly from a weight perspective. This is an auto-x car and I make ~460whp and dont really plan to make that much more power down the road. So if I could find something that can support around that power level and drop 10# of the front of the car that would be sweet!

Does anyone still manufacture a tube and fin intercooler for our cars? It seems ones like ARC and HKS are far and few and if they do pop up they go for big money. There must be something still available at a decent price point or at least I'd imagine there would be.

And if not I'd love for a vendor to step up and offer one; Im sure there are plently of auto-x peeps who would be interested.
