EVO 9 20G-LT + GSC S1 cams dyno!

Ok here is the result that everyone been waiting for. I don't know what to say, I didn't hit the numbers that I wanted but never the less what can you do? I don't know which part is not perform like it suppose to since both the cams and turbo were install at the same time. I do want to say thank you to the TT crew and alfread for spending alot of time trying to make it work. O0 O0 So here the shake down on mods.

Current mods: Burschur TBE with high flow cat, RC 780CC, 255lph pump, Injen intake, Burschur LICP, Burschur 02 housing, Burschur 20G-LT, GSC S1 cams.

Red line is with all the current mods
Blue line is with the pervious mods without the turbo and cams.

So what should I do :?
note all this numbers are on 91 octane

this is a long shot, but you don't happen to have a graph of the turbos boost do you? i wanted to see the difference between the 20G-LT and the stock IX turbo.

That seems like not too good of gains for the money. I'm sure it's fun to drive though.

Looks to me like 30 to 40 hp gain and Tq. for most of the mid and hi rpm range.
The Tq. curve looks mostly flat, shows like the boost was low, may be 22 to 23 psi?? If so, go next time and dyno at 26 to 28 psi on race fuel.
Or, if you want to go with pump gas, the IXs can handle a little more boost on pump. Dyno at 24-25 psi on 93 pump. You will see gains.

Like what someone said earlier, how much boost were you running. Also why would you want to switch out the turbo when you are probably just running 21psi or so on the crappy cali gas.

What kind of a dyno was it? Get some meth injection and sell me your evo IX compressor housing for 200 bucks..

Are you running the same amount of boost as before? You made some decent gains, really. But it's tough to determine what parts delivered them. Actually now that I look at the dyno sheet again, the gains in torque look really promising. Between 5-6k RPM you gained as much as 50ft-lbs to the wheels. And you have a cat converter? I dunno, the more I look at your sheet the more impressed I am with the results. The torque curve is a lot flatter and broader and you picked up a lot of mid range and upper RPM power, on relatively low octane fuel. I think you should be pretty happy with these results.

As far as what you should do - meth and more boost, IMHO.

On a modified IX turbo on 91 octane gas? No offense, but your expectation isn't realistic.

Looks good to me. You spooled a bit faster, made more peak and more over the whole graph...

The highest we have here CA is 91oct, his only options are to use higher octane fuels and ofcourse alcohol/water injection.

I think the gains are pretty nice, peak gains was close to 30whp, but some areas in the power band you were seeing gains close to 50whp.

A couple things I should mention though-

Tuning Technologies does not have a very high reading dyno jet, and is located 1,000 feet+ in elevation.

You dynoed on 91 octane and you have a high flow cat (not a test pipe). Both of those things are taking away some horsepower.

I think the 20G-LT is a great turbo, but honestly I wouldn't expect to see as big of gain in power as a EVO VIII would see with the 20G-LT. The stock EVO IX turbo can hold 23-24PSI on pump gas.

Swap the HFC for a Test Pipe, get a 100 octane tune, and run 26psi, and your numbers would be like 380whp+ in my opinion.
