did you try to run higher boost in the mid range as well. It will still taper but the taper might be less.

My AVC-R is set to 1.65bar (only holds it in the mid range) with the stock turbo, so you could run at least this much on pump gas with the green? Is there a reason for the 1.5 bar with Jun forged internals?

Unfortunately I think a turbo no less than an HKS 3037 would have been a better match for your stroked JUN engine capable of running 8k RPM

Im purchasing the HD Actuator that available for this turbo as this looks like it will be the most likely thing to sort out my issue.

So there is a lesson to be learnt, if your stroking your engine, get the HD actuator as you wont be able to run even 20psi due to the extra exhaust coming from the higher capacity engine. Ill let you guys know what happens once the actuator is installed and car is re-tuned. If you think it could be something else let me know! But right now my money is on the actuator as boost is dropping after 5k.

The JUN stroker I have as well revs to over 8K! So im loosing all my top end cause of this!

My goals are basically to have a turbo that will make about 400-450hp on 20-22psi on pump gas with the fastest spool possible.

will the BB50 trim make 400whp on pump gas and 20psi as oppose to the GT35R or GT3076R?
Fastest spool possible will be the 50 trim over the 3076. BB50 trim is a fantastic pump gas turbo, especially with your Jun stroker.

You should let Mellon see your logs. It can only help, especially if he volunteered.

I offered to look at AMI's tune, no response
Hi, thanks, Im running a MOTEC M800 plug and play for the evo 9. But i dont know how to extract the map? nor do i have the software or cable? I usually just bring it to a tuner that does all that. I could get the cable and email motec for the software....

Have you worked on a motect ecu before? How do I go about getting the logs...

ts going to depend on what gas you have where your at and what dyno. On CA 91oct and a number of bayarea mustang dyno's you wont be able to see more then low to possibly mid 300's, even race gas would be unlikely to hit 400.

Your looking at the whole thing wrong. Instead of shooting for peak numbers, you need to figure out what you want to do with the car. If you do get 450hp on pump gas, chances are you will loose to a car with 300hp unless you race them to 160mph. On top of that if you plan to track your car ever it will be useless with a gt30 or 35 without basicly a complete race setup and then you would have to know how to drive it.

You can make a gt30 streetable but if your running it on pump your really not using the turbo in a rang where its efficient, and would most likely get walked on by a well tuned fpgreen or 50trim. Peak numbers sound cool when you bench race, but peak numbers dont make a car fast. for instance, my old viii had about 265hp with a pretty nice curve and i would walk away from a local guys ix that had some bolt on's and a off the shelf map. He made 294hp but only for a split second and the curve looked like crap. So he made 30 more hp in a car that is suppose to be more efficient and still got pulled on well into 5th gear by a old viii with a 9.8hotside and no cams.
That is a fair point. I am comparing it to the same dyno though and basically Ive only gained 10kw at top end but lots of mid range due to the stroker. I got the stroker as I drive the car daily and want it to be streetable.

My goals are a low 11sec qtr mile car that I can drive daily and on the occassional track thrashing...

I was looking at turbo kits from HKS and Trust but they seem too expensive in comparison to those offered by David Burchur, ams etc.

I appreciate all your help guys, I should also know by end of today the results of the HP actuator and if that helped at all.

I like the curve i have so far I just want to fix the flattenning from 5500rpm onwards, if i can get that part to just keep rising car will hit 250+kw atw and will have some decent top end. Anyone know if any when HKS will release some MIVEC compatible intake cams! im hanging out for these as i already have the exhaust side.

Off-the shelf, the kits need some detail work. But if people put a little port work into them, they've put down some pretty respectable numbers (ATP kits in general. I don't think I've seen an ATP 35 kit).

ATP GT35R has more lag and LESS topend then any other kit on the market. Where are the times posted by these kits? Maybe some nice DynoNumbers but never that good of a time in terms of the size of a turbo, I would rather run OEM Turbo then ANY ATP kit.

Thats why i do all my own work...i hate down time with a PASSION!!! Only down time i have ever had with my car was when i shorted the turbo outlet pipe with the starter becuase i was to cheap to purchase the install kit...and that was only 4 days...lesson learned...i have seen people wait months for their cars to come out of the shop...couldnt handle it...
