Nice pictures. How did those seat brackets work out for you Tom? Did you have to drill the car at all to install them? Are the seats too low in the car now? How do they feel? I can't believe how nice they were.

BTW, I take my Corona with lime in it!haha

Did you drive it yet??!!!

The seats and brackets worked out perfectly. The ones that came with the NRG seats mounted on the sides of the seats, then the bottom plates PERFECTLY mounted to the floor pan. I bought (8) 8x1.25X30mm flanged bolts with lock washers and nuts. The front two used existing slots and the rear two required a 3/8 hole to be drilled only in the bottom plate. Took about 1.5 hours start to finish. Seat height is exactly the same as stock. Comfort is really good. Seat side brackets had 3 holes front and rear, so angle can be changed very easily. I mounted both seats the same. You can tell from the pics that they look nearly factory. And no I haven't driven it yet. I like to make sure everything is done before I play. I posted in the other thread about the 100 lb weight reduction today.

What was cool was to watch him throw those stubby little fingers across the keyboard and, "Voila, that flat spot is fixed, the boost is turned down, I leaned it a little and your making more horsepower, NOW ARE YOU SATISFIED?'
Really, I couldn't believe how good the graph looked. I know 700 is just waiting for his stubby little fingers again.

Thanks Strokedt67, looks like I'm in the footsteps of those who blazed the trail. That's quite a list of mods you've got there yourself.

It's funny because I was about to pull the trigger on those same seats.

If you get a second, please PM me the weight difference of the stock seats and those.

Hey Tom,

You are telling me that the seat brackets lined right up with the factory holes in the floor for the stock seats? You didn't have to drill ANY holes in the car itself?

If that's the case, I am buying them for my RS. The weight of your car is making me jealous.

Also, that wrecked EVO I had. Got it back from the body shop today and they painted that carbon fiber hood that was on it. It would be VERY difficult to tell it wasn't stock steel.

I thought the stock hood was aluminum? Cool move none-the-less!
