This car is a beast. One of the smoothest builds we have done. The more you do the smoother they go, after 18 years it's nice to know we have it just about perfected

I worked on the cold weather tuning today as it was mid 20's here today. Tom is going to be here tomorrow and it will go back on the dyno to show him some simple tuning and logging with the AEM. Also will have the boost set and double check it.

This car has a lot of extra on it that wouldn't have to be just to make this power. Like the doors, brakes, carbon fiber seats etc.

We corner weighted the car and it is 2813 pounds, very amazing as it STILL has stock seats in it, sound deadener, air bags etc.

The doors are very nice but they do not seal perfectly. So for a daily driver I don't think they are a great idea. Today while sitting in it working on the tune as the car got hot I noticed some water dripping in through the door seals.......

Welcome back !

Great job

jasil, your calculation to do this build of $35,000 is too high. The power side of it would be around $25,000 if you started with a bone stock car.

This car should be easily capable of mid 9 second runs.

The tune is for sure conservative. The AFR's at 8300 rpm were down to 10.9:1.

We have no direct comparison of stock EVO9 cams against the Cosworths that are in the car but being able to make 645 whp with this car shows something is working.

We are waiting on some new cams to install, with a simple cam change this car should easily exceed 700 whp on our dyno.

Also, yes, the MIVEC is fully functional on this car.
i just threw up in my mouth

Hey, welcome back DB. Guess what? I'm heeeeeeeerrrrrree. Got in about 30 minutes ago. I'll see you some time tomorrow morning. Also, a sincere thanks goes out to all of the posters in this thread. The congratulations totally belong to David, Dan, Jarrod, Nick and their crew. The easiest thing to do is pick a target, throw out a couple of suggestions, then drive away. The tough thing is getting it done. Obviously, Buschur hit the target! Again, a sincere thanks for all of the props. By the way, OKIX is my son and Buschur did the build on his car also, with a DynoFlash tune from AL. tom

You would know I was adding in the cost of the CF doors, hood, trunk etc.

FIMotorsports, additional weight savings ready to go on: Front seats ~60 lbs, spare tire, etc 37, street tires/wheels 20lb vs race tires/wheels 53 lbs. So on the street it should weigh 2696 on the strip 2663 lbs. To Buschur gang, I'll be there in an hour.
