I thought that the meth was what made this turbo shine. Too bad....
I have a EVO IX 2.0, 20G-lt, 100% meth, TBE, I can only get 91 octane in Guam so the meth really helps. Boosting @30PSI and love it. Keep us updated!!

depending on the size cams you are using, you will most likely start running out of "breathe" about 6200rpms. that was were mine started going. but the light to light response was just amazing!

I got the HKS 280 cams. Which ones did/do you have?

IN YOUR SIGNATURE:

New Setup
BR 3065R w/ alky
BR 2.3 block
430whp & 380torq
Dyno Sheet to come

Old Setup
BR 20G w/ alky
BR 2.3 block
359whp & 408 torq

so, my setup might be 70 AWHP down, but 30 ft/lb torque MORE then the setup you have currently. My bad, I am not using Meth, so we will see, I will be lower that that. Slosh in a pump map, and a racegas map. Not sure what mods I need to run E85 for this. That would be cool to run ethanol for this kit. They sell it down the street.

It would be interesting to see differences in Trap/ET/60' times with your old vs new setup. BIG difference? How much slower would 70AWHP, but 30ft/lb of torque be in the 1/4 mile? Anyone guess? Thanks for the reply.

What are you running for engine management? Was it the same for the OLD and NEW setup? What cams are/were you running?

well i was running the revolver cams in the old setup. dave used my car to try the 50trim, with no luck, and he switched to the custom grind cams. he then tried the 20lt (green) and only gained 2-4 hp and torque, due to the larger cam. if u stay with the 280's i think you will see more power than i did with the revolvers on the old setup, since i don't think you will run out of air in the higher rpm range like i did. big cams suck on little turbo's. i found that out the hard way. i may switch to 272's or 280's and the LT after seeing how your setup is. i miss the pump gas punch the 20g and stroker made!

oh, and i had AEM EMS on both times.

Thanks for the input!! I will see how I stack up, when I strap down. I remember your car now, being a "test" car at Buschur's. I will leave some HP on the table using the Stock ECU, not sure how much though. I don't want to dump a TON of money in the standalone/turbo, I would like to slow the bleeding of the mod. artery, before I bleed out. an 11 sec. street car is plenty fast for me, and it will keep my chances lower as far as blowing something else up in the driveline. I will keep you posted.

So the Revolver cams did not work well on the 20g? I thought they worked great with the smaller turbos.

the revolvers worked decently. we will see how the graph compares to smoked's. my hp started falling off about 6200rpms. the custom grind cams were just to big for the 20glt to supply.

What do you guys think about running Jun 272's, 20g, + all supporting mods on the stock bottom end? I will be using the AEM EMS to tune the car. After reading that cam size may be an issue I was wondring if I should just pick up a 30?

Anyone have to wait long to get their turbo? These suckers are popular, so I am not sure of the wait, but I am guessing weeks. Maybe I should search in the mean time, and see what mods you have to do to run E85. Anyone know?

Wow, I guess you should have ordered the heavy-duty actuator.
