Quote: Good thread, I am in this same position right now minus your 2.3. I want to upgrade this spring but am very torn between the 20g/35r/3065. I plan to only run C16 and already have all the boltons. Car is mainly for roadrace. 20g can get out of the tight turns easily. 35R can kill on the back stretch. 3065 is somewhere between. Then the $$$ comes into play. 20g I would guess to be the best bang for the buck. I'm beginning to think, go with the 20g for next year then consider going bigger for 2008. Too many options.
I can hardly imagine a 35r running straight C16 on a roadcourse! Wowser.

imo, if you're running c16, there's no point doing a 20g. I'd go in the middle personally and do something like the 3065 personally. Kinda depends what tracks you frequent if the 35r would be beneficial for longer straights. Still though; lotta power!

I roadraced with my TME 16G alot, and autox'ed it, and drag raced it. Ran great! I also ran 30K miles continuous 110 LEADED thru it! Don't ask........ I got the meth now. Maybe back to race gas again, due to "wash out" of the protective film of the oil when using meth. Premature wear out of motor using meth? Don't want to find out.

Thanks as always SlowCar! Does it matter if you use 100% Meth, or a mixture?

Thanks. Someone is listening. I just got a look at my evo 1 engine with about 8k on it. Run meth from day 1. not at all happy with the bore wear. I am not ditching meth though. it just needs to be run through an injector and shut off like it should after a pull. The new aquamist setup is sweet. FJO also has a handle on it as well. Very well thought out kits.

It was your quote that made me reconsider, and have sleepless nights on the "washout"issues. I appreciate your insight/advice. I need a failsafe, and for you to spill the beans on a way to keep up the effectiveness vs early breakdown of the Meth systems.

hey smoked, if you are planning on running roadcourse more than anything else, the the 20gLT should be perfect with your current setup. i should have dyno sheets comparing 3 or 4 different turbos on my car that dave did this weekend. one is the 20gLT and another is the 3065r. i will shoot you a PM when i get them up.

so your saying 100%meth wash's out the motor? what does (wash out) mean? and if i get this right your saying it brakes the motor oil down or something. what if ya change your oil every 1500miles instead of 3k????

Wash out means to wash out the cylinders, or to lose compression in them.

Hey smoked, if you dont mind, can you let me know what dave suggests. I have an indentical setup to you. Only a slight bore difference, on our strokers...anyhow, I was thinking of the GLT as well, but I dont know its the stroker is overkill for it.

Thanks in advance
