Shameless but accurate plug, we have talked about this smoked. My turbo on your car should make something like 400 370 on pump gas with killer response, 500 500 on meth and pump would not be out of the question as you can see below, that was with 272s and race gas, i wasnt pushing as much boos as i could of.... Thats my dynosheet on race gas vs a stock turbo on C16 with hks 280s and all bolt ons to give you a comparison in spool.

If you really want to do something different get somebody to build you a divded t3 flanged 3076 or maybe a 3065 with that rear housing something unique, people have done it but i feel like on your car thats what will suit your needs best if not something like the 20GoesLikeTwohudrendmph.

Thanks Scorke, as always. You have great input! Maybe I just need a bigger wing, and more stickers, and call it a day! I will see what David has up his sleeves. Awesome looking graph and numbers!

Also i really feel like the tq and driveline thrash from a fast spooling turbo is going to be worse on your drivetrain then say a 35r

Yeah, that is me/mine!

Don't laugh, here are some "Supertrooper"shots!

Fake gun, waiting for the newspaper to show up and take some photos for promoting WWII. He probably said something about my Ricer or something, and deserved a "cap" in his ***.

smoke,
I've been recently reading up on the 20GLT and what people are doing with it. Mostly because of the low < $2000 price option personally.

Prior to that, my upgrade idea was the 50trim. For me this would work best because it's a good pump gas option on the stock 2.0.
However, I don't think It'd ever do this personally. If I'm gonna throw an upgraded turbo at my car and $4k; I want more in return! But then you start looking at a bit of lag as a tradeoff and the need to run alky/meth injection or C16 tunes. So, plz factor that in if you haven't.
I've always though tht 30r - like the 3065 - ones had a lotta performance potential (on C16 or injection of course) with decent spool as opposed to the 35r which is too big for my tastes.

As mentioned, you've got the 2.3 stroker already, so that is going to offset a lot of potential lag right off. There's countless people running that bottom end with a GT35r and it's proven to work. Of course, not good for pumpgas, and not really fitting your criteria.

Good thread, I am in this same position right now minus your 2.3. I want to upgrade this spring but am very torn between the 20g/35r/3065. I plan to only run C16 and already have all the boltons. Car is mainly for roadrace. 20g can get out of the tight turns easily. 35R can kill on the back stretch. 3065 is somewhere between. Then the $$$ comes into play. 20g I would guess to be the best bang for the buck. I'm beginning to think, go with the 20g for next year then consider going bigger for 2008. Too many options.
