Thanks for the kind words, yes, different is what I am looking for, and this setup will give me what I am looking for! There are alot of different setups, but they are getting too common, I like to steer away from the comonality. David, of course you are up to bat to tune it.........Your turn. I am keeping the 280's as well, unless David decides to some more expermentation. We (David and I) Will keep you posted on how it turns out.

Thanks again.

I think I am going with the 3065. I bet when I see your graphs I will have torque envy

Lets put the graphs up, and see how they compare. You are running in the Winged Warrior event as well? That way, we can see how they stack up on the track. Winner gets a coffee! I am going after the Torque on a budget. Congrats on the choice.

I'd say the 280's are the best choice for this combination.

Other dilemmas/Thoughts:

The Tuning:

Currently have the XEDE, ALWAY'S HAVE. Love the box, but don't know enough to plug it in, and "tweak" this map or that map by myself. "Not my bag". So, I don't use it, but when I get it tuned, the tuner uses it. I have driven to Georgia to Dyno4mance 2X, and Andrew did the best he could to tune the car, but I have so many gadgets wired inside the cockpit, he just gets a headache looking at the under dash Spagetti! Anyway, it is a 14 hour round trip for me (not including the dyno time) to get the car tuned at Dyno4mance. It wasn't tuned on Meth both times, THE CAR, and ME had issues which prevented Andrew from proper tuning on the Meth. He did a great job, and goes over the top as far as helping. Best English guy I have met!

Shiv and Dyno Days: He is Great at tuning the car, BUT, you may have to wait a year or 2 to get him in the midwest to tune the car (Dyno days). I drink too much coffee to wait that long- I am impatient.

AMS tuned the Xede for me also, but was plaqued with another Dyno curse, and they couldn't get the damn Meth tuned either (NO WAY THEIR FAULT, It was the cars fault again). AMS Is an A1 shop, we all know that, but the traffic thru Chicago, is like me doing the 14 hour round trip to GA. Makes for a long day. I personally feel bad to ask them to tune the XEDE for me, when that is not their specialty with that brand piggyback. I appreciate all they did for me. They are top shelf.

Since I don't want to mess with the tuning, I would like a "set it and forget it" scenario.

AEM/EMS. Another tool I wouldn't mess with, and since I drive the car in the winter, might have to tune it 2X/Year(for the extreme weather changes). Don't like the steep price for that either. Unless David says it is a MUST, I would like to tune the car on the ECU. 1 pump map, and a racegas/meth map, which I could download for track days.

Methanol Injection:

I have had this in my car now for 2 years? Never tuned, so why have it? Is the risk of blowing up the motor (NO failsafe on it) worth the $500 kit? Is the couple extra pounds of boost worth it? Can the same gains be had with Racegas? Or some other mixutre? E85? I am not sure what to do here either. If you shoot the 100% meth, and get a "washout" of the cylinders, and make the protective properties of the oil NIL, is it worth the motor breaking down, or wearing down prematurely? Just for the "gains" of meth? What about corrosion of the lines and such. I will have to discuss this more with David, and go with his reccomendations.

These are just thoughts I have, and YOU won't have the problems like this, if you PICK ONE SPEEDSHOP, hold hands, marry them, and NEVER STRAY! I have been to this shop, that shop, bought tons of parts, but they never seemed to work well together. Listen to me. Find your shop, and follow TO A "T", their upgrade path, you will save the headaches. Just thinking out loud, and I will keep you posted on what we decide to do.

I better slam some more coffee and get on it then! I will call David this week, and see which route we take. Hang in there.

SEE!! LOOK AT THIS! This is what I was talking about. Not sure if I want the Meth anymore. He knows what he is talking about, and put the bug in my ear to start with. Read this carefully!

Smokester: It sounds like you are way too strung on the meth. Or, maybe it's just the quantities of caffeine that have done it to you.

I see a problem................I have never tuned an Exede. I hate to say it but I have no interest in doing it, which is bad for both of us. Tuning something you have never worked with is never going to produce the absolute best results.

Why the Exede? I'm fine with using the stock ECU. I'd really like to use the AEM. A 2x per year re-tune is not needed.

E85, if you have it available that's your fuel for this car.

Thanks guys.

David, I am NOT asking you to use the Xede, I am not going to run that anymore, I am going to use what you suggest, but I would arm wrestle you into keeping the ECU and running everything thru that. I don't want to get into the AEM if I don't have to, as then it would be another "Box" in the car, which I won't touch. I have had the Xede as my ONLY engine management since I got the car, and I Love it, but getting it tuned in the midwest is my problem, I can't wait for a dyno day to show up near by. You are close enough, whereas I can drop the car off, on my way to Michigan to visit the family if I need a tune.

I don't think the meth kit is worth the potential premature wear on this expensive motor I put in the car. Racegas is fine with me, until they come out with STARBUCKS INJECTION kits. Here is a photo of me, you ready to arm wrestle?......... jk of course, everyone knows that is my arm, photoshopped on someone elses body!
