Tranny problem I think????
My buddy has a 2006 MR with a 35r kit and an EMS. It really doesn't seem as fast as it should be and gets beat by stock turbo 9's with a bunch of bolt on's. I cannot tell if the clutch is the problem or tranny.
Here is what the car does:
The car pulls like *** in 1st and 2nd but good on a higher roll. I don't know what the problem is.

- Shifts fine
- Doesn't let me put it in 6th anymore
- Sometimes it locks me out of all gears for a bit then goes in after trying to push into every gear. (Feels like shifter is locked.)
- Squeals when downshift.
- Takes a bit to turn car on.

This is not a problem with his turbo, he has always had this problem. Something is wrong with the drivetrain. I know when my t-case started to go I got really slow.
yeah 35R suck at low boost.. does he have a meh kit..? he needs that to help him run as a daily driver.. otherwise 26psi on pump is not that pretty..
did you guys checked the clutch.. test its strength maybe its going bye bye.. if he has aftermarket.. maybe he needs to have it look it over again..

Yea he has an act 6 puck with stock flywheel. He went through his first clutch in about 2000 miles so judging by that i think it is clutch and maybe a warped flywheel but I have no idea why I cannot get into 6th at all and it locks alll gears up sometimes out of no where

First off if it's shifting fine then the tranny should be fine! Try adjusting the clutch*** It is possible to have warped the pressure plate, or the flywheel bolts backed off.
Check the shifter cables and make sure they are not getting hung up on something.
A 35R is a race turbo and if your trying to have fun on the street forget it! It is going to feel slow unless you are reving that thing to 8500rpm.

I think you might be right on the pressure plate being warped. Should explain the screaching noise when downshifting or turning the car on. My friend shifts at about 8k every gear so it is possible.
