If your going to eventually upgrade to an ams 2.3l then you should probably just get the 35r now, the 2.3l + 35r seems to be a solid combo. The reduced lag from the 2.3l + Mivec will make for a fun car.
I can't imagine even considering to spend $1000 more when the Buschur kit is the same turbo with a Shearer built exhaust manifold. Assume that both are the same quality, why would you pay more? I've had 2 cars built by Buschur and absolutely would do it 5 times again. I have the buschur T-67 (37R) and couldn't be happier. Spend the time to think out the complete build before jumping in. 880's won't get the job done if you're going to try to max the turbo. 1000's won't even get the job done. Plan your work, then work your plan. Use the extra $1000 for a set of tires or something.
Save the cash. IMO Shearer is the best mani builder there is.
