And a few more photos below of some hot rod that had a flywheel come apart (not sure of the car). The SRT4 forum has a 32 page thread about the stock flywheels blowing up, but the nice photos of destroyed radiators, intakes, hoods, trannies, etc have been removed.

Ours are one piece chromemoly and naturally they perform. We have two weights, 10.1 lbs and 13.1 lbs. The heavier one (Streetlite version) is not much lighter than the already light stock flywheel, but much more durable by adding about 40% more material behind the disc surface. The Prolite is lighter but still thicker than stock by about 20%. I have seen other one piece 10 lb flywheels that are only 1/4 inch thick behind the disc. I am not saying that they don't work, or that stock doesn't work, but if you are looking for increased durability, I think we offer an advantage over such designs.

I have one in my car with a ACT HDSS clutch. Love itThe flywheels are (relatively) inexpensive also. I have had the clutch/flywheel in the car for over 10K miles no with no issues. (About 200 launches @ 5K+ (11.94 best) as well as Road course and street duty.

I feel like I am starting to sound like a salesman with my last post. Seriously though, I don't want to make this an ACT pitch. It's not fair to paying EVO vendors. PM or email me for more information about ACT products.
