question... can you run a 280i/272e combination? i know this mind seem to be a stupid question but ppl usually go for 272/264s... what are the advantages/disadvantages of running 280s on the street?

the evo 9 doesn't need cam gears that's what mivec is for, unless off course you want it on the exhaust cam

you need different cams for your application, the heads are different from the 05 MY

I run a HKS 280/272 combo, no cam gears stock turbo

Driveability is tolerable. Idle isn't smooth, stop and go traffic is hell.
