Just a little something to add here. We took a friend's STI to the track last night. The car has a Treadstone intercooler that is like 28x12x4 and is essentially the same as the fleebay cores. 18 PSI on a rather large turbo. The car trapped 126mph.

Intake temps rose 10 degree C over the 1320' pass with it being ~85 degrees F outside. Would a Garrett core work better? Probably. Does the fleebay core work though? Certainly seems to.

Oh, and you guys talking about evaporation. Until you start talking about psychometric charts, wet bulb temperatures, relative humidity, and heat capacity, you should probably stop posting because much of what you are saying is incorrect. Some ideas are correct, but you are greatly over generalizing.

But just to throw something out here, the latent heat of evaporation is capable of transferring a LOT more heat energy then you are giving it credit for. Several orders of magnitude to be specific and the real benefit is it does this heat transfer as an isothermal process.

sorry guys. testing not finished yet. big holdup was car was giving inconsistant timing during the day. would have made testing impossible. so car is being setup on a standalone. results will be easy to find. will edit first post where the results are to be found.

Unsubscribe and ignore list work real well... I encourage anyone who does not like this thread, or the FREE info that the thread starter is attempting to offer to use them. Otherwise people can expect any further bashing/harassing posts to disappear along with points issued.

Have a nice day

just about any big names on the market will work well if the car is tuned. Just make sure all silicon hoses, t-bolts and misc associated parts are well secured and tightened then you will be fine.

I personally prefer Greddy, HKS, ARC and other Japanese name brands because most of their products were tested many times before releasing it to the market in Japan and then U.S (for u.s spec vehicles). Most of these manufacturers have been around for decades and they work very closely with a lot of Japanese car manufacturers as well as factory sponsored racing teams.

A lot of U.S brands such as AMS and Buschur have also showed that their products are dyno/race proven as well. Just pick one and be happy with it.

Finally got some time to work on my car and get it setup for testing these coolers. I finally got the car running with the power FC. was running fantastic only it wasn't turning on the fans. Being that I was using evo8 FC in evo1 the wiring has to be tweaked a little to make it work. Unfortunately the ecu stopped working while I was trying to find the trigger wires for the fans. Now I have have to wait till the ecu is fixed if it even can be fixed.

Anyone have a power fc for sale ? I am looking for one.
