its just 90% of people look for the 4 i said. so do the test from them 4. we already know the others perform good/bad but compared to the top 4 there nothing.

When present the results, would it be possible to show all the raw data you have collected?

Good luck!

well how would we know if they haven't been tested yet?

I think a lot of people probably have the turboxs

You know for all those that are demanding this and that...I don't recall reading a single post that offered to paypal the OP a few bucks to help cover the cost incurred.

Did some flow testing tonight. Not really sure how useful this info is but I had fun doing it. I got an idea of testing airflow using the mass air meter. My next door neighbor has new dynojet so I had him bring home the most powerful fan he had. Holding the airflow meter in front of the fan yielded 450hz. My plan was to make a big funnel for the fan which would have been alot of work. Then he shows me this other fan he had that blows up those large rentable yard bouncing toys for kids. We put the air meter in front of it and it read 813hz. I thought to myself that should do the trick.
airflow numbers for reference
idle 50hz
lite cruise 140hz
8 psi boost third gear 655hz
26psi 1970hz

test results:
bare airmeter 813hz
airmeter w/coupler 804
stock IC 416
AMS street 426
ebay AMS copy (xspower) 480hz
xs engineering 471
PWR 461
slowboy (spearco wave) 462
Nisie street 399
greddy 3 row supra core 599
ebay 24X12X4 RNR race 604

Nice! Any chance that you can put a pressure gauge between the fan the the intercoolers?

Let me know if you want to test a Precision/Garrett 600-hp intercooler. I have a spare we are not using right now. Also. Why not use the AEM EMS instead of the Apexi unit? Seems like you're having a lot of trouble with it, no?

So the greater the flow the worse the heat dissapation?

I wouldn't conclude that at all. I wouldn't draw any cooling related conclusions at all from this test. If anything It has more to do with pressure drop and turbo response. I am injecting meth or ethanol on my setups so the best cooler at controlling temp may not be the winner in my book if it is not efficient at passing air and causes excessive pressure drop. Turbos definately spool faster when there are less restrictions around it. The higher numbers may lead to setups that are more responsive. I have a friend using the 4" e-bay core with a 3076 turbo. The 3076 in my experience is the laggiest turbo out there. On his car the turbo is very fast spooling. The free flowing intercooler may have something to do with it.

Unfortunately the higher flow number in this test can mean just larger cooler so there is no way to tell if the core is flowing well for its size or it is just big on the inside with more channels to fill. On car performance is what we need to see. I was doing this mostly for fun and to give you guys some hope that a real test is actually going to happen.
