When i had my ETS 4" core it was about 80deg outside temps at the track .The start of the track i would do a burnout and intercooler temps were about 100deg than at the end of the 1/4 mile at about 38psi on a 67 trim i was 122deg this was on C-16 race gas. I would say this is with my 67 trim maxed out passed its efficiency range

On my ETS 42R Kit and ETS 5" Intercooler on VP Import gas the AEM showed us on a 80deg day before the race at 100deg intercooler temps and at the end of the track 120 deg crossing at 153 mph

Our race intercooler which is the same one that is currently on sale and the same one used on our black drag car trapped 169.59 MPH lastnight. This is the same Evo that was first to break the 8second barrier in drag racing.

Not to mention its the same core used on David's DAILY DRIVEN Evo that run's 9's. Best E.T. 9.77 @ 148.27MPH. This is also the same core used on ALL of the 9 and 10 second cars that come out of Buschur Racing.

Our Race FMIC measures in at 24" x 13" x 4". For more information see this link: https://secure.buschurracing.com/cat...e83fd4da70d3fd

If you are going to post info in this thread could you at least be acurate? I have PM'd three people asking them to measure your race core dimensions. All three gave me 24X12X3.75 dimensions. Maybe your rulers are different in Ohio? dunno..

Trying offer the board some good unbiased intercooler info. this thread could do without all your biased info and sales pitches.

If you guys want to do some real intercooler testing please start your own thread.

FWIW, I got the ETS 3.5 Inch used. It is bascially brand new and fits as stock and I got it massively cheap. If I coulda got teh BR Race for the same price I paid I woulda got that but I believe the ETS unit to be extremely sufficient for my use on the Stock IX turbo

So your engine is fully warm, you do a burnout, and at this point there is a) no wind going over the fins of the intercooler and b) very slow flow of air through the inside of the core.....

And you are saying there is only a 20 degree F increase in temps over ambient?

Seems to me the intercooler should be working much better at the moment you pass the end of the quarter (tons of airflow) versus sitting at idle after a burnout. Have you checked datalogs or do you have intake temp displayed?

We just check the data logs. We are heading to BOTI this friday i will make a note to get some better feedback for you
But 20deg is pretty darn good with car making close to 1000whp. But the log before was from the burnout box to the end of the 1/4mile
