That's pretty cheap for 70 hp/tq, maybe more. Buy that turbo kit and you're still going to need an exhaust, DP, boost and fuel controllers, gauges, and maybe intake and IC pipes. You're way over $4000, then. You'll likely need a new clutch as well. Not cheap.

But, many people aborad actually do the 272/264 combo and claim it works well, though I have never used it before.

In any event, cams are inbound as we speak (all 272's for right now)..Al...check your email

I didn't think 272/272 cams would work for FI applications, just by going off of VW tuning info, where most people use a 256 profile or smaller. However, people such as AMS are using them. I thought a big cam like that would produce too much overlap between intake & exhaust ports? There must be more to it than that... I think I must be missing something basic here... How's it work?

Didnt read the tread.. But from what i hear 272/272 is not gonna make a real big gain until you upgrade your turbo.. So if you dont plan on doing that stick with the 272/264 combo..

Just because a cam has a "lot" of lift doesn't mean it will have a lot of overlap... a little overlap is good anyway as it promotes a "cleaner charge".
