turbo hx40 q's
I feel that the stock divided large turbine housings that the Holsets use are best used with twin scroll exh manifolds or headers. I'm sure that with the 16^cm2(.77or .80A/R) or 14^cm2(.67 or 70A/R) twin scroll housings, these Holsets will spool up much faster and better than the .70A/R open T3 flange turbine hsing and have some tremendous top end on top of that. I feel that the divided twin scroll 16^ cm2 or even the 18^cm2 (.87or 90A/R) housing would be the ticket for the HX40 with a twin scroll mani.
I like your thinking here. It would probably make for the best top end. Corect me if I am wrong but I think these turbo's are desined for up to 40 lbs of boost. How come no one has really cranked the boost on the one's that they had. I would like to see the out come of a 40X at 35 PSI. I am trying to find a holset turbo that will make the most power and spool is not a big concern since I wil be using it for a twin charging project and the quick spoolup will be accomlished through a stock turbo.
