What do i need to take off at 7k rpm ?

I'll give you some tips on doing it, I have plenty of 6500rpm launches with my stock TC.

-Tire pressure (go as low as you can, I run about 20psi)
-Slip the clutch (if you dump it, it's over, trust me)
-Be prepared to get out of it (if it starts hopping and spinning, let it go, it's gonna be a crappy pass anyway)


but the question is....why do you need to launch it that hard? At my power level all I do is spin tires and look stupid bogging 2nd gear. Launch the car where it grips the best, not at a set specific number.

I have an upgraded shepherd tc with lsd and i dont launch at 7000. Reason: U dont need to if u know how to launch. I launch at 4500 to 5000 rpm's and get great launches with a little bit of wheelspin.

what kind of 60 foots are you cutting on 4500rpm launches? I have my doubts as to how good they actually are.

i ran my two step @ about 6800 all last season stock tranny/diffs/axles ect......
it's better for me to spin the tires through first & grab second my e.t's go down & mph goes up.. i used to launch @ 4500 too when my turbo was stock
